ABOUT

Infinity Indigenous Consulting Services and Shannon Marks a MNO Citizen was created through the lens of lived experience, as an Indigenous survivor of the child welfare system. At Infinity Consulting, I strive to provide clients with comprehensive solutions for information requests that meet their unique needs. Built from personal success derived from my obtained information requests, I furthered my understanding through extensive research and by engaging in facilitated storytelling of various life situations experienced by survivors. This cultivated a broader understanding of the "In the Best Interest of the Children" doctrine, housed under the Protection Acts, which ultimately failed the children. I then created a process for information requests that delivers results.

Accountability over Autocracy

Infinity Indigenous Consulting Services serves the survivor/client with democracy, allowing for a fairer transparency as opposed to an autocratic dictation system controlled by centralized power, which often fails to preserve transparency obligations such as provincial rules often result in restricted, redacted disclosures—blacked-out truths and excluded files, letters, documents.

The Purpose

Well designed Information Requests include checklists to avoid “cherry-picked” disclosures that do not carry out deletion. I wanted to bridge the gap between red tape and our need for transparency within our own held files and government services that have left loop holes in process.

Key Advantages of Lived Experience

At Infinity Consulting, we offer contextual understanding, empathy and perspective, problem-solving capabilities, an unbiased viewpoint, and tacit knowledge.

Today's rising of a want to know our roots to which we belong can be an aid in healing  and in those with challenges . Not only to intervene to aid in eliminating failures , but give balance. The rightful idea of uniqueness and belonging becomes central to help complete the wholeness of ones life by reuniting them of their beginnings is a necessary part of their healing.
